Recording Police is a Dangerous but Necessary Thing to Do.
If You See Something, Film Something.

Video compilation posted on YouTube by YouBetaKnow

This video was created as an example of the importance of filming the police. Video provides transparency, accountability, and an accurate account of incidents that occur. It is no secret that the United States has a serious problem with police abuse, brutality, and corruption. :giggle: we do get abused by authority but it's different. On the ground here sometimes the whole police station gets burned by an angry mob.

I'm glad I live in the UK. For a start, our cops are not armed and, believe it or not, you can have a good chat with them and, as I've done many a time, take photos of them :D

Dangerous but Necessary??? really? it was necessary to attacks a million policemen to one person.
When i look some scenes like those i'm thinking that maybe the death penalty is a bit more decent in performing in case they leave dead the criminal in both cases :(

I think you misread the title.
Capturing police on camera while they are beating up innocent people is Dangerous but Necessary.

I missed this! The cops I saw arresting the bag thief today were very mild. But cops are unfortunately (or fortunately) human, and a reflection of the society they're recruited from, so nasty stuff does occur sometimes. I was a cop for ten years and saw a little, but always remember the words of one of my Police college instructors:

"Jesus Christ picked 12 apostles, and one of them turned out to be a prize a***hole - our average is better than that".

They made our guys look like pussy cats" :D

That's a nice Jesus quote. I'm soooo stealing it!

That's necessarry to fight those bastards in uniforms. They forget who really pay their wages. Instead, they protect corporations and politicians but not citizens any more. I got beaten up by them years ago in Poland just for being. It's changed for the worse over there since. The police state is a synonym of our "freedom" and "democracy" these days...

No my friend! I was too young to know my rights and was happy to get away without being arrested for...they would have found a paragraph and witnesses for sure.

And here in Chile... On the protests many people is arrested just for taking photos or recording with a cellphone or a videocamera.

Damn!

It makes me think of something I lived in the metro in Paris, under the "Champs Elysées". There was metro Policemen (4-5) around two gypsy girls who were seating on the floor, one of the girls was screaming as she had a pain in the stomach. The policemen were laughing. I was needing to call my wife so that I know which direction to go, so I took my cell phone and stood there trying to reach her. One police came to me and ordered me to go away. I answered: why? Because metro tunnels aren't made for standing but for going from place to place he answered... they all came around me, just as I would have been a delinquent ... but I didn't move, I don't know which direction to take, so I call my wife, I said, where's the problem? I was getting mad myself but my wife called me back, I asked them, can I answer? They got away from me...
I think they thought I was recording the action with my cell phone... I don't know what may have happened to me if they'd have seen I would have been recording them.

Be careful guys with your cameras!
